SwiftColor SCC4000D ID Card Printer for Oversized Cards is the fastest print per card on the market.

The SCC4000D has been recorded as being able to achieve print speeds of 2 seconds for 3.5” x 5.5” full color cards. Further measurements include 100 sheets/min. of business cards (2.2 x 3.6 inches)(55 x 91mm), 45 sheets/min. for postcards (3.9 x 5.8 inches)(100 x 148mm), and 28 sheets/min. for envelopes (9.3 x 4.7 inches)(235 x 120mm).

These superior print speeds are primarily achieved through the SCC4000D’s single-pass printhead technology. Although most inkjet printers print back-and-forth and/or side-to-side, single-pass printhead technology enables the SCC4000D to print pictures very quickly. Thus, the need for pre-printed cards for events is almost eliminated.

The SCC4000D’s 1200 dpi (dots per inch) resolution, on the other hand, makes sure to not forsake quality for quantity. Along with an enhanced print speed, this level of resolution keeps even detailed images and logos well defined on any badge.

In addition to this feature, the SCC4000D also comes equipped with the following three aspects:

• Ink tanks which use 105 mil multi-color water-based dye inks in yellow (Y), magenta (M), cyan (C), and black (bk).
• A maintenance cartridge which absorbs excess ink during the printing process. Even though the SCC4000D will not print if the maintenance cartridge is full, changing it out is quite simple.
• A status monitor capable of informing you of the percentage level of absorbed ink in the maintenance cartridge.
