The HID FARGO HDP8500 industrial ID card printer and encoder is the superior industrial ID printer for extended-run, high throughput ID personalization and issuance. It’s especially suited for large government ID card programs and laborious service bureau conditions, as well as demanding university and large enterprise environments. Solid metal cabinetry and precision-engineered interior components ensure a stable printing environment that operates reliably over high-volume, continuous runs. Built for ease-of-use and ideal for even the most challenging environments, standard features include dual-side printing, dual input card hopper with a 400-card input capacity, built-in airflow and filtration system, canopy dust seals, internal temperature sensors, multiple in-line cleaning stations, accessible card path, user-friendly graphical touch screen interface and a FARGO Workbench™ diagnostic utility with Color Assist™ spot-color matching. Compliant with the security requirements of government ID issuers worldwide, the HID FARGO HDP8500 incorporates a multitude of built-in physical and electronic security features including locking input/output card hoppers, lockable printer and laminator housings, AES-256 data encryption, printer password protection and a security resin erase feature that renders used ribbons unreadable. Available options include dual card lamination (simultaneous), dual output module (400 cards), card flattener, Andon production status light, Wi-Fi® accessory and encoding modules for magnetic, contact and contactless smart cards. HID warrants to the End User that the product enclosed with this Limited Warranty statement and used in the country of purchase will conform to the manufacturer’s specifications and be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase. Upon Online Registration, this product is eligible for an Extended Warranty of three (3) years from date of original purchase.

PRINT HEAD WARRANTY Under normal use and service for HDP® Series printers, HID warrants that the thermal print heads will be free from defects and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase. Upon Online Registration, this product is eligible for an Extended Warranty for the life of the HDP Series printer. In the event a warranty claim is submitted for a defective print head, HID shall have the right to inspect the printer, print head and your printed and/or blank ID cards for the purpose of verifying that any such claimed defect has not been caused by non-HID approved ribbon, by non-HID approved HDP film and/or by non-HID approved cards, by ribbon and/or cards that do not meet HID specifications or by foreign particles or substances which have caused abrasion damage. HID’s decision in any such claim shall be final. For clarity, “Lifetime” or “life of” product warranties end three (3) years after the published End of Life date of the product.
